La Prof

Sophie was born and raised in the south of France. She studied languages, French literature and art history in Paris. She wanted to improve her English and moved to the United States at the age of 23. She worked in bookstores specialized in travel and languages until she became a full-time French teacher for all levels at the Alliance Française of Washington, D.C. and a trainer for French teaching methodology. Eleven years later, after an amazing professional and human experience, she came back to France with her American dog and settled down in Salon-de-Provence. She now offers lively French classes in her home and an inside tour of her city, located in the heart of Provence. It’s all about sharing her love for French language, history and culture, from both the past and present.

Her dream as a French teacher: to have David Sedaris in her class and make him talk pretty. One day.

J'aime le melon. Je veux du melon.

Nina comes from West Virginia and is attending regularly the classes (sleeps through them actually...). But her French has improved a lot the last two years. Amazingly mostly French food vocabulary.

Moi, je préfère le rugby.
Lilly is French, and she loves to attend the classes as well. She had a private trainer and she is well behaved!
